These interlocking basalt columns along the North Atlantic coast are quite the site to see! As we parked and began our hike down, it was pouring rain. However, within minutes the clouds cleared and the sun came out. It was glorious!
The Causeway Coast…
Know Before You Go!
You only have to pay to go into the visitor center and use parking (it's expensive too). There is no fee to wander down and explore the coast on your own.
Parking fills up quickly (and is reserved for guests of the Visitor’s Center). We happened to find a place on the road, but that's pretty tough to do. A shuttle is available from Bushmills Village, as well as a park and ride.
There are a handful of various walking paths. We did a combo of the blue trail (along the stones) and the red trail (clifftop).
This is an extremely popular site. It will be crowded.
