Nestled between the Alps of Switzerland and the Alps of Austria, it’s easy to forget this tiny country, but oh how we love little Liechtenstein! The Principality of Liechtenstein has an area of just 160 square kilometers / 61 square miles, which makes it one of the smallest countries in Europe (4th smallest, to be exact). Liechtenstein is often a quick detour for those looking to check off another country, but if given the opportunity, it has plenty to offer in the way of cultural and outdoor activities. One of our very favorite hikes to date was high in the Alps of Liechtenstein!
