As we drove through the countryside of the Czech Republic, a serendipitous event happened. All of a sudden out of nowhere, there was a large, beautiful castle - oh, the magic of road trips! We parked nearby and trekked up the hill to get a closer look. Unfortunately it was closed at the time, but after doing our research when we got home, we learned it is open to the public.
We also learned the castle was built in the 13th century and it still owned by members of the same family. Neat! If we are in the area again, we plan to pay it another visit!
