When heading back from Dijon France, to Stuttgart, Germany, we decided to drive through the countryside rather than stick to the highway. This accomplishes a few things: 1. Enjoy scenic Views, 2. Avoid expensive French tolls and 3. Potentially discover sweet lesser seen cities and brocante (antique) stores along the way.
However, like Gray, Vesoul was a quiet, sleepy, dusty little town without much interest other than opportunity to capture some quaint photography.
Know Before You Go!
- Parking is generally not an issue in these smaller towns. There is a FREE lot near the train station, but if you happen to pay to park in another lot, be sure to verify hours because many of them are free between noon and 2:00pm.
